Biography

Awarded in several international competitions, Juliette Journaux began her piano studies at age seven. She was especially attracted by the orchestral possibilities of this instrument.

Juliette continues her studies in the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Paris in Emmanuel Strosser’s piano class. She is also very interested in vocal coaching which she studies with Jean-Frédéric Neuburger. She is one of the vocal coach of the Frivolités Parisiennes troupe since 2016.

Juliette Journaux received advice from several masters such as Jacques Rouvier, Bruno Rigutto, Brigitte Engerer, Jacqueline Bourgès-Maunoury, Mikhaïl Voskresensky, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, Romano Pallottini but also François Salque, Itamar Golan, the Shanghai quartet, the Fine Arts quartet and the Ebene Quartet in chamber music during master-classes in France.

Juliette Journaux had the opportunity to play on Salle Pleyel’s stage for the Chopin’s anniversary at age thirteen with the support of Brigitte Engerer and Anne Quéffelec. She is often invited in festivals in France and abroad, including in the Royaumont Abbey, the Salle Cortot, Salle Gaveau, the Tignes’ auditorium or in the Laeizhalle of Hamburg.

She had also the great opportunity to play the 20th concerto of Mozart and the 3rd concerto of Beethoven with the Tour-à-Tour orchestra in 2015.

Juliette Journaux is currently working on her first CD which will be released by Paraty-Harmonia Mundi in Fall 2019.
